After leaving Florida and moving to Atlanta to pursue her dreams, she now has to navigate her way through the challenges of living with family, finding a place of her own, making new friends, rediscovering romance AND landing the ultimate gig. Episode 1: "The Big Move"
"The Complex" web series is a comedy about a young lady, Johanna Smith, who relocates to Atlanta, (Hollywood of the South), from a small town in Florida. Join Johanna as she pursues her dreams with hopes of making it big in the entertainment industry. Although intelligent, Johanna is not prepared for the games they play in the big city. Starting all over again and moving in with her sister temporarily, she is faced with many "complexities" of life; from finding an apartment, a legitimate gig, and true love. But the one thing that keeps her focused is her faith in God. Stay tuned to see how her story unfolds...in the A!
Episode 2: "The Search"
Johanna's sister, Rhianna (Riri), is putting the pressure on her to go out and find an apartment. She then follows up on a lead she found on "Kervslist" and meets with an Atlanta Producer.
Episode 3: "The Roommate"
When Johanna convinces her sister to loan her money to move out of her apartment, she thought all of her problems would be over...until she moves in with a tone deaf roommate--with issues!
Episode 4: "The Dating Game" (Part 1)
When Johanna moves back in with her sister, she becomes friends with Theresa, a young lady she met from around the complex. After discussing whether or not they should attend a speed dating event, Johanna decides to go alone, but wished she had stayed home after encountering some of the "special" men she meets there. Will Johanna make a love connection?
Episode 5: "The Dating Game" (Part 2)
After making a "love connection" at the speed dating event, Johanna goes out on a date with one of the gentlemen she met there. But what she later discovers about him, leaves her in a "complex" situation.
Episode 6: "The deTour"
After months of becoming complacent, Johanna yearns for something different. She then finds herself being victimized by those pesky "go back to school" commercials, and decides to "make that call!" Join Johanna as she embarks upon one of life's detours!
Episode 7: "The Sticky Situation"
When Johanna goes to do her laundry, she encounters her friend Theresa there, which becomes awkward, since she recently went on a date with her ex. Meanwhile, Kiesha, the budding recording artist, debuts her single on WJES radio. Is Atlanta ready for "that voice"?
Episode 8: "The Moment of Truth"
Johanna receives an unexpected visitor and then an ultimatum from her sister. Meanwhile, Theresa gets a 'moment of truth' about her relationship with Marcus.
Episode 9: "The Clean Up Woman"
Johanna has fallen on hard times and desperately needs money. She has found herself doing a job that she never thought she'd be doing, and makes a few interesting acquaintences along the way.
