LaToya Monique Cooper, a native of Brunswick, GA, moved to Atlanta, GA in hopes to have a better life for herself. She met one of the creators of The Complex webseries, Kervin Jenkins, while working at Blue Cross Blue Shield of GA. Before the show's inception, Kervin would stop by her desk to get her opinion about some of the ideas he had for the show. Offering to lend a hand for the series, he extended to her a small part which turned into a reoccurring role as "Keisha". LaToya loves playing the role of the quirky, tone-deaf singer and enjoys contributing her input for the role.

LaToya is a Master Cosmetologist and hopes to some day work on movie sets and tv shows as either a hair stylist or as an actress. Her motto that she lives by is  "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."-Phillipians 4:13.
