Affectionately known as "Shines" or "SMH", (an acronym of her initials), Ms. Hines have always enjoyed the art of comedy; whether it was making someone laugh or smile, or partaking in a hearty laugh from something humourous.

Born in Montego Bay Jamaica, Sue-Ann moved to Miami at the age of two. Growing up in South Florida as the eldest of 3, Sue-Ann had always participated in some form of Fine Arts.  In elementary school, she attended a magnet school for the Arts once a week, where she was introduced to and played a plethora of various musical instruments, including the string bass, xylophones, ukelele, chello, steel drums, to name a few. Her artistic talents were continued outside of the classroom, where she would take piano lessons every weekend and had many lead roles in church plays. Her middle school days were a continum of honing her talents, as she was accepted into Norland Middle's Magnet program, where she was taught Music Theory on a collegiate level,  and picked up a new instrument: the French Horn. Her transition into high school, found her playing the French Horn in the superior rated  Miami Norland Senior High's  marching band, and was also playing the keyboard every Sunday at her church, since the age of 13. By the time Ms. Hines got to the eleventh grade, however, she realized that her high school career was mostly filled with music only and she wanted to recapture her other love, which was acting and writing, by joining the  school's Drama Club, and participating in other extra curricular activities, including working on the Yearbook staff and becoming the English Honor Society's President.

Sue-Ann's collegiate journey at the University of Florida was not easy, yet she perservered. Switching majors a few times, she declared her major in General Theater with a concentration in Musical Theater. While others in her major were spending their extra time starring in productions, among other extra curricular activities, Ms. Hines started playing for a local church in her last two years.  She was not only their keyboard player, but she also was their children, youth and adult choir director.

Ms. Hines obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in General Theater and a minor in Mass Communications from UF in December of 1999. She later became certified in Television and Radio from the Connecticut School of Broadcasting in Tampa, FL  in 2006, and thereafter began her television  career at  HSN (Home Shopping Network) as a Production Technician and Master Control Operator.

Sue-Ann and Kervin would often pitch various show ideas to each other, until one day, an idea that Kervin had about an apartment complex sparked her interest. As she contributed her vision for the show, it became  what is now The Complex webseries, and production began in April of 2012. After a year of filming and commuting back and forth to Atlanta, Ms. Hines decided to relocate to Atlanta, GA in 2013, a year after production of The Complex began, to pursue her love for acting and to officially launch her prouction company, Shines Productions.

Since living in Atlanta, Sue-Ann has taken a few acting classes and has been in various television and film productions, including  Tyler Perry's The Haves and Have Nots (OWN), A Trip To Bountiful (Lifetime/ Cisely Tyson), Dumb and Dumber Too  (Jim Carey), Complications (VH1), Devious Maids, Confirmation (HBO) to name a few.

With Atlanta being the new Hollywood of the South, Sue-Ann wiill continue to obtain her goals as she pursues her dreams in the entertainment industry, working in front of and behind the camera.
