Tracy Tartt
as "Theresa"
Tracy Tartt was born in Tampa, Florida on MacDill Airforce Base to Michael Thomas Tartt and Josephine (Pettway) Tartt. Her father was an Aircraft Fuel Specialist in the Airforce. When he got out of active duty they moved to Mobile, Alabama where both he and her mother is from. They later had a son Michael Tartt Jr. Her mother Josephine is a retired business office clerk and her father retired Airforce Chief. Tracy grew up with many cousins on either side.
As a child Tracy developed an interest in literature. when her mother read poems like "The Creation", and what caused a person's onset of dark emotions when she read Edgar Allen Poe stories to her and her brother at bedtime. In the summer when her parents went to work, Tracy's aunt kept her, her brother and 4 other cousins. Her aunt would rent movies from a pharmacy/ superstore, 6 movies for $2 when B-movies were big. They watched movies like "Killer Clowns From Outer Space", "The Wraith", and "Naked Lunch" which this time peaked her interest in writing for film. She studied Communications Public Relations at Alabama State University and received a Bachelor Arts degree in 2000. She moved to Atlanta that same year and pursued a job in radio.
The market being oversaturated turned up nothing for Ms. Tartt, so she landed a job at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia where she met Kervin James. They sat in a cubicle across from each other and talked about movies and put on radio shows in an attempt to entertain the other co-workers during the day. At night, Tracy went to graduate school to study business and obtained a Master's of Business degree from the University of Phoenix. Tracy was later fired from Blue Cross Blue Shield. Kervin was launching 4 Corners TV and was entering a short into a film festival. He shot and directed "A Good Day" and Tracy worked on the short as a production assistant.
Kervin later told Tracy about an idea he was kicking around about writing and shooting a web series about an apartment complex. He would have a meeting about it and there she would meet Sue-Ann Marie Hines who would be starring as "Johanna." Production started and more characters were added to the show. James Luckett, (Joe), and LaToya Cooper (Keisha).
Tracy tried out her writing chops with a short "Blow Out The Candles", filmed and directed by James Luckett about a spoiled birthday party from the news of a extramarital pregnancy. Sue-Ann Marie Hines plays "Angie", the calm head.
